Citation:
"Pendant son tour d'opérations, cet aviateur a attaqué des objectifs importants et lourdement défendus en Allemagne. Huit d'entre ceux-ci ont été contre Berlin face à la résistance ennemie intense et d'autres contre des objectifs dans la Ruhr. Sa fraîcheur et sa volonté ont été les plus dignes d'éloges et il a toujours fait preuve de grand courage et de détermination."

* December 18th, 1945, Conspicuous Gallantry Medal (Flying), has been awarded, according to Newspaper of London dated December 21st, 1945, to the Sergeant. 1313283 Arthur Harrington. JEFFERIES, R.A.F.V.R ., 550 Sqn., with effect from March 30th, 1944 (since deceased).

Citation:
"During his tour of operations this airman has attacked may important and heavily defended objectives in Germany. Eight of these have been against Berlin in the face of intense opposition and others against centres in the Ruhr. His coolness and deliberation have been most praiseworthy and he has always displayed high courage and determination.."
